Performing Arts learning for kids

As a parent, why sign up and pay for our kids to do all their music &/or drama lessons?

We don't actually pay for our kids to do Music, Drama, Singing, Musical Theatre...

So, what do we pay for?

-We pay for the teachers to discover how our child best learns and guide them in ways to absorb learnings, expand, create, commit and share their music and drama works with others.

-We pay for those moments when our kids become so tired or frustrated they want to quit but don't.

-We pay for those days when our kids come home from school and are "too tired" to go to their lessons or do their practice but they do it/go anyway.

-We pay for our kids to learn to be disciplined, focused and dedicated with a community spirit in sharing their creations

-We pay for our kids to learn to take care of their time, body, instruments or equipment.

-We pay for our kids to learn to work well with others and to be good team/band/ensemble/choir players in theatre, choir or musical groups - in both rehearsals and performances - with gratitude and humility in their successes

-We pay for our kids to learn to deal with successes and disappointments, when they do or don't get that recognition, role or membership they'd hoped for, whether in success or disappointment they go in giving it their best shot.

-We pay for our kids to learn to make and accomplish their performance goals.

-We pay for our kids to respect, not only themselves, but other musicians, actors, directors, conductors, organisers and teachers

-We pay for our kids to learn that it takes hours and hours, years and years of hard work and practice to create excellence and refinement in their craft and creativity and that success does not happen overnight.

-We pay for our kids to be proud of small achievements and to work towards long term goals.

-We pay for the opportunity our kids have and will have to make life-long friendships, create lifelong memories, to be as proud of their achievements and creative learning as we are.

-We pay so that our kids can be in life - practicing their skills or in the rehearsal room or or performing for others instead of in front of a screen...

We could go on but, in short, we don't just pay for the content drama, music education offer.....

we pay for the opportunities that the performing arts lessons and communities provide our kids - to develop attributes that will serve them well throughout their lives and give them the opportunity to truly bless the lives of others.
